The Music of The Police

A common love for the music of The Police is what brought three of Vancouver’s top musicians together to form Zenyatta.

Acclaimed bassist and vocalist Nathen Aswell, alongside Tim Olsen on guitars and Phil Robertson on drums and percussion, have teamed up to bring some of the greatest rock music ever written back to the live stage with their high-energy, 90-minute celebration of the hits that made The Police one of the biggest bands of the 1980s.

More than a simple tribute, Zenyatta captures the essence of The Police’s sound while adding their own improvisational fire and raw energy, creating a live experience that is as authentic as it is electrifying.

Nathen is one of the busiest singing bassists in Canada. He has performed with a wide variety of recording artists, including Randy Bachman, Susan Crowe, Shari Ulrich, Babe Gurr, Gabriel Mark Hasselbach and Andrea Menard. He has also performed with Jackson Hollow, LJ Mounteney, Lowry Olafson, Aaron Pritchett and The Wilds.

Tim has been a professional guitarist, songwriter and guitar instructor in the Vancouver area for more than 40 years. He has appeared on hundreds of recordings, toured throughout the world, performed on television and film, performed with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and is the guitar professor at Trinity Western University. Tim endorses LsL Guitars and Revv Amplification.

Phil is a renowned Canadian drummer and musician. He has performed for Electronic Arts on its multi-year, bestselling NBA LIVE video game series, along with Need for Speed, Motor City Online and The Simpsons: Road Rage. He also performed on an NBA promotional video starring Montell Jordan that aired around the world.
